Angrezi Dhaba opens new outlet at Gurgaon

Eatery aims to offer the best of traditional local foods in a classy and hygienic environment

Restaurant chain Angrezi Dhaba launched yet another outlet in the country at commercial hub Gurgaon. The restaurant aims to appeal to the senses of the traditional Indian food lover with authentic foods such as tandoori kukkad, anda paratha, railwaymutton and purani dilli ke bhalley. In spite of the traditional flavours, the restaurant chain has adopted western ideals in terms of hygiene, comfort and facilities.

 
According to Shashi Khanna, founder and managing director, Integrated Hotel Pvt Ltd, the parent group of the Angrezi Dhaba brand, “From slowly simmering preparations in pots on wooden fires to baking our breads in traditional coal tandoors, we have taken every step to ensure that we stay faithful to the genuine dhaba taste. Passed down from generation to generation, all our dishes are meticulously prepared using the same age-old secrets.”
 
Traditional flavours with modern appeal
 
The eatery aims to provide some of the best known local food flavours in the hygienic and swanky restaurant at an affordable price. It aims to preserve the authenticity of the street foods like kulfi spot, high way ke naan, paranthe and lassi, C.P. ka famous murgh makhani.
 
Delhi based research scholar Aatreyee Ghosh explained, “Delhi has some of the best street foods and every resident has their own favourite hangout spot where they head to each weekend. The culinary culture of the city is rich and diverse.”
 
Mr Khanna further said, “In recent times, especially in the eclectic population of Delhi, traditional Indian cuisine has seen resurgence in popularity and availability.”
 
The restaurant also combines the traditional techniques and tandoori preparations using the freshest and finest ingredients.
 
The latest outlet has been opened at the DT Mega Mall in Gurgaon. The average price for a meal for two is around Rs 500, which makes the eatery a must visit for the foodie who is looking for some traditional Delhi delicacies at an affordable price.
