According to Binu Varghese, executive director at AB Mauri India, Home Bakers in India are unable to explore various quality recipes and possibilities in baking as there are not many options for ingredients when compared to the global options. People in India still depend on high end bakeries or cake boutiques or may even have to get specific ingredients from overseas. AB Mauri India is trying to cash in on this vast potential in the country by making these products available to interested bakers. This will help to change the home baking scene in India significantly, added Mr Varghese.
Agreeing with Mr Varghese’s views, Eshwara Venkat Kumar, proprietor of Kumar Food Products, a small-sized food products manufacturer in Vijayawada, said, “A lot needs to be done to improve the home baking scene in India. Due to limited availability of certain ingredients, Home Bakers in the country have a tough time preparing bakeries.”
Range of products
AB Mauri will offer its varieties of ‘Mauri Home Baking Products’ in innovative flavour variants across the country. The wide range of its home baking products will include Brownie and Muffin mixes, Cookies, Bread, Cup cake packs, Cake and egg free Cake mixes, Doughnuts and cookies. These food items would be available in attractive packs with starting offers like trial and starter packs.
