Vintage Wines Unveils New Offerings in the Indian Market

Vintage Wines has recently launched two new wines in India under its Reveilo label. Commercially launched as Nero d’Avola and Grillo, the wines have been prepared from grapes grown from imported root stocks, which were planted in Nashik in 2006. Grillo, a widely known white-wine grape variety from Sicily, is used to prepare a dry white wine with good acidity. Nero d'Avola, the most popular red grape in Sicily, is used to make wines with sweet tannins and plum or peppery flavours. Nero d'Avola wines have a strong aroma of cherry with some spicy flavours of pepper and cinnamon.

The company has constructed a winery at Niphad, Nashik, sprawling over an area of 32,000 square feet. Moreover, the new facility has an annual capacity of 2 lakh litres, which could be scaled to one million bottles. Vintage Wines has signed a technical collaboration with Italian group Enofly for enhancing its technical expertise.
