Parag Dairy, with its top selling products ‘Dahi’ (yoghurt) and ‘Low Fat Dahi, is coming up with a new product GO Fruit and Dahi Fusion. The product is available in four different flavours—strawberry, pineapple, banana and mango. It is available in ready-to-eat packs. According to company officials, the new product is made from 100-percent fresh cow’s milk and natural fruit extracts without any artificial additives and offers a healthy treat to customers.
In the global markets, yoghurt is recognised for its health benefits and nutritional value, as it has a high percentage of calcium and protein. Thus, the yoghurt business has become a multibillion- dollar industry and is growing exponentially. The biggest obstacle to this market in India is introducing yoghurt as an international product as it has to compete with the Indian version, dahi or curd, which is quite popular in India.
